Witness firsthand the effects of the Bay of Fundy – home of the highest tides in the world – while experiencing the beautiful scenery which allowed New Brunswick to be known as The Picture Province.
Before heading out along the Fundy Coast, your tour guide will provide a brief history of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea – eastern Canada’s premier coastal resort town. To truly appreciate the incredible effects of the Fundy tides, you will view a scenic coastal location near the beginning and the end of the tour … possibly even a spot which, at low tide, you would be able to literally walk or drive on the ocean floor.
From St. Andrews, you will be taken for a drive – somewhat off the beaten path - along the Bay of Fundy coastline. Along the way, you will discover a series of hidden gems, including water falls, a sandy beach (where you’ll likely find a few sea shells) and get to experience some of the most beautiful vistas in Canada – if not the world.
Your tour will include stops at St. George – a quaint town where you can grab a treat and see a water falls with fishway (to allow Atlantic Salmon and other fish to swim above the falls to a fresh water river) – and Beaver Harbour – a lovely active fishing village which is also full of history.
NOTE: This tour is limited to a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 20 guests. So, reserve your seat early to avoid missing out on this unique Fundy Coast experience.

A guide will lead you on a walking tour of St. Andrews where you’ll explore the town, including historic Water Street (our “Main Street”), in St. Andrews, or St. Andrews By-the-Sea as it is commonly called. This lovely town was founded in 1783 by the United Empire Loyalists, and was named in honour of St. Andrews, Scotland - and many of the original buildings still gracing the Town Plat. Virtually everything about the town is special, including its status as a National Historic District, one of the oldest and loveliest in the Maritimes.
Starting at the Algonquin Resort (?), your guide will provide a brief introduction and highlights of the history of this iconic town. From there, the group will proceed down to the water front, passing beautiful “cottages” and historic sites along the way. Some the 'can’t miss' sites are the Pansy Patch, The Greenock Church, Sheriff Andrews House, The Ross Memorial Museum, the Wedding Cake church (the local Baptist church), the Courthouse and Old Gaol (Jail) and many, many more. Please note that sites such as Ross Memorial Museum and The Greenock church may be open seasonally.
The group will also be afforded some time to enjoy a cup of tea, coffee, ice cream, etc. at one of the many shops along Water Street – or at least get a better idea of where to return after the tour. The tour itself is approximately 3 hours in duration but can easily be extended, should the group want more time to explore and experience the history and charm of the town.

St. Stephen is a gateway to Canada from the United States and is a significant part of the historic resort area of the Bay of Fundy. The town has its own unique blend of parks, riverfront walking trail, historic buildings and a chocolate museum. A centre of shipbuilding in the 19th century, the town was made famous by the Ganong Brothers who began selling the first wrapped chocolate bar here in 1910.
Ganong Bros., Limited still operates in the town today, giving St. Stephen the enviable designation, ‘Canada’s Chocolate Town’.
You will get to explore the town’s chocolate heritage and enjoy its beautiful setting on the St. Croix River – a Canadian heritage river that serves as the narrow international border between Canada and the U.S. - and marvel at the high tides which ebb and flow between St. Stephen and its friendly neighbour of Calais, Maine.
Before heading to St. Stephen, your tour guide will provide a brief history of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea – eastern Canada’s premier coastal resort town. To truly appreciate the incredible effects of the Fundy tides, you will view a scenic coastal location near the beginning and the end of the tour … a spot which, at low tide, you might be able to literally walk or drive on the ocean floor.
Your tour will include stops to enjoy and photograph the lovely St. Croix river valley, including St. Croix Island – an international Historic Site - and Dover Hill Park – with trails and a view of the International bridge, Cotton Mill Monument & the 1929 train station at the St. Stephen town square. However, the highlight of the tour is the experience at The Chocolate Museum – an indoor interactive chocolate experience. Explore the history of chocolate, test your chocolate packing skills and maybe even see hand dipped chocolates being made. Your group may also choose to stop at a local microbrewery for lunch and a beverage or two...

Deer Island has been inhabited since 1770. The first lobster pound in North America was located on nearby Beans Island. The largest tidal whirlpool in the western hemisphere is Deer Island's "Old Sow" - which can be viewed during a flood tide.
Deer Island is a photographer's paradise with stunning scenery at virtually every turn, including birds, salmon farms and fishing peers - plus you may also see a whale or two off the coast. You can visit the rock formations known as 'The Devil's Hand' or 'Circle of Love'. There are also several art galleries to visit while on the island.
Travelling from St. Andrews through St. George to the Deer Island Ferry - which runs every 30 minutes during the peak tourist season (May - October ??) - you will get to see a variety of landscapes and waterways.
Deer Island is also Campobello's missing link with a ferry between the islands during the summer months. The group will be afforded an opportunity (at additional cost) to extend their day with an additional round trip via ferry to Campobello - the site of US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's summer residence - in New Brunswick's Bay of Fundy.
